This is the original "mighty" Meade ETX90 GOTO telescope with the 497 AutoStar controller. Here we see it mounted over a surveyors tripod. A small scrap satellite dish base was used to adjust the polar angle of the telescope base. The camera is a Logitech ball type webcam that was cannibalized for astronomy use!
My first refractor telescope was the Stellarvue SV80. Here it is mounted over a Stellarvue equatorial mount. The camera is a Nikon F2 film type (non digital).
This is the Celestron C8 8" Smith Cassegrain OTA telescope mounted over the Stellarvue equatorial platform modified with added RA/D axis motor drives and hand controller.
A Bausch & Lomb Smith Cassergrain : FL=1,200mm D=102mm f/10 with integrated RA/D motor drives. Please observe my crappy looking home made wood base.
