Models D are miniature scale recreations of parts of the projects that were done during the design phase (that's where the D comes from). These models were done to study specific details, proportions and the overall appearance of a design, or just part of it. We use recycled or scrapped materials because they are cheaper and easy to get. Precision is not that important when doing a Model D so you will see a lot of things out of line and materials like cardboard, paper and foam being used. We love Models D, and I hope you will too. This section is specially dedicated to students and young people that are interested in architecture and the design process!
